I am a tutor who loves to learn, and I have a deep love for the diversity and education that interdisciplinary studies provides to students. I strive to help my students understand what they are learning, as well as make them into individuals who will enjoy learning for many years to come. This has been a very rewarding experience for me.I started tutoring seven years ago, helping students with Math studies. From there, I started a program for middle school girls, and even spent a semester where I trained to be a tutor at Duke.I have experience in a wide variety of subjects, and I am able to assist students in Algebra 1-4, Geometry, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, American History, Arithmetic, Geography, Pre-Algebra, Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and a variety of test prep, including for the ACT, PSAT, and SAT.I graduated from Duke, where I earned a degree in African and African American Studies. I am currently a student at Columbia University, where I am earning an M.S. in Narrative Medicine. When I'm not busy, I love staying active by hiking, running, and practicing yoga.
